Growatt Noah2000 up to 8.19kWh Energy Storage Unit for Your Balcony
The Growatt 900 Wp balcony power plant with NOAH2000 storage is a complete plug-and-play solar solution designed to help households generate part of their electricity independently and reduce grid consumption in a simple, cost-effective way. The system combines high-efficiency bifacial solar modules, a modern Growatt microinverter, and modular battery storage to maximise self-consumption throughout the day and evening.
Designed specifically for European balcony solar installations, this system is suitable for apartments, rented properties, and homes without access to a traditional rooftop PV installation. All components are matched for compatibility, performance, and ease of installation.
System Overview and Operating Principle
Balcony Solar Power Generation
The system generates electricity using two high-performance 440W or450 W bifacial solar modules (depending on stock availability), reaching a total installed PV power of up to 900 Wp. Energy produced during daylight hours is converted directly into usable AC power via the Growatt NEO 800M-X microinverter and fed into the household electrical circuit.
Household appliances automatically consume the locally generated solar power first. If demand exceeds production, electricity is supplemented seamlessly from the grid.
Integrated Battery Storage with NOAH2000
Excess solar energy that is not immediately consumed is stored in the Growatt NOAH2000 LiFePO₄ battery system. Stored energy is then made available during the evening, at night, or during periods of low solar irradiation, significantly improving the overall utilisation of solar power.
The system supports 1 to 4 NOAH2000 battery modules, allowing total storage capacity to scale up to 8,192 Wh.

Installation and System Integration
Simple Plug-and-Play Setup
The microinverter is mounted directly to the module substructure and connected to the solar modules using standard MC4 connectors. The AC output is routed via the supplied 5 m AC cable to a suitable power outlet.
No special configuration is required. The generated solar power is automatically prioritised within the household electrical system.
Battery Integration
The NOAH2000 battery modules connect directly to the system and store surplus energy during the day. Stored energy is automatically supplied to household loads when solar production is insufficient.

Legal Notes on Balcony Power Plants – Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands
Balcony power plants are intended for personal electricity generation and are commonly used in residential environments across Europe. Regulatory requirements vary by country and may be subject to change.
Austria
In Austria, small plug-in photovoltaic systems are generally permitted for private use. Balcony PV systems must comply with applicable ÖVE/ÖNORM standards and local grid operator requirements. Registration with the grid operator is typically required. Electrical installations must be carried out in a safe and compliant manner, and responsibility for compliance rests with the system operator.
Switzerland
In Switzerland, balcony solar systems are permitted for self-consumption, provided they comply with applicable ESTI and local grid regulations. Notification or approval requirements may vary depending on canton and grid operator. Electrical safety standards must be observed, and registration with the grid operator may be required.
Netherlands
In the Netherlands, small PV systems for self-consumption are generally allowed. Balcony solar installations must comply with applicable NEN standards and grid operator guidelines. Registration with the grid operator is required, and safe electrical installation is mandatory.
In all countries, users are responsible for ensuring compliance with local regulations, grid operator requirements, and applicable electrical standards. For binding and up-to-date information, official publications from grid operators and national regulatory authorities should be consulted.
Rechtliche Hinweise zu Balkonkraftwerken in Deutschland
