Official 3Buy Solar Announcement | European Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Regulations

Following the implementation of European Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements covering batteries, solar panels, solar inverters, electrical equipment and packaging, 3Buy Solar has decided not to undertake the additional costs, administrative obligations and regulatory risks associated with maintaining multiple national EPR registrations for cross-border EU end-user sales.

This is a straightforward commercial decision.

Our Sales Policy

  • Hungary: B2B and B2C sales continue without change.
  • Other EU Member States: Sales are restricted to verified B2B customers purchasing products for onward commercial resale.
  • Non-EU Countries: B2B and B2C sales continue in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and applicable destination-country regulations.

Mandatory Declaration for EU B2B Customers

Professional solar installers, EPC contractors, distributors, resellers and other companies with valid EU VAT numbers purchasing products for delivery outside Hungary must confirm at checkout that:

  1. Products are purchased for commercial resale or incorporation into installations sold to third-party customers, not for the buyer’s own use.
  2. The buyer accepts responsibility for all legally applicable EPR registration, reporting, recycling and environmental fees in its destination country, including battery, WEEE and packaging EPR.
  3. The buyer will provide evidence of applicable EPR compliance upon request.

Acceptance of this declaration will be mandatory under our updated Terms and Conditions. Statutory producer responsibilities remain governed by applicable law.
